Cabbie Drives Dog To The Beach After She Becomes Unable To Walk There
Reema is a golden retriever who has a back problem that restrains her from going on long walks. Seaside is her favorite place to spend time but she has been too ill to walk there. But 57-year-old Suzzane Clark desperately wanted to take Reema back to her favorite spot.
She then turned to social media for help and posted on Facebook seeking assistance from anyone who had a car.
A 49-year-old cab driver Paul Brown came across the post and immediately offered his services to Suzzane and Reema. Since then, Paul has been taking Reema and Suzzane on weekly trips to the beach in Bridlington, East Yorkshire which is Reema’s favorite place to go for a stroll.
Suzzane was not able to take Reema to the beach because she didn’t have a car and it was too much for the dog to take a mile-long walk. But things have got easier for Suzzane since Paul extended his help.
Suzzane said, “Reema was very sad that she was no longer able to walk on the beach. It’s her favorite place to go and is so close to us that it seemed such a shame she was missing out.”
She then thought to put her problem on Facebook to see if anyone could help which was the reason, she met Paul who was generous enough to offer her help.
According to Suzzane, Paul is a lovely man and very kind to let Reema sit in his car. Paul said that when he came across the post and saw what was being asked, he didn’t think twice and quickly offered his services.
He further added, “Some people are funny about having dogs in their car but that’s not me, they’re part of the family in my opinion. Others say dogs can only go in the boot but I would never do that. I wouldn’t put a person in the boot, so why would I put an older dog in there?”
Reema who is 10-year-old now has traveled the world with Suzzane and her husband over the years including trips to Spain, Belgium, and Portugal.
In Suzzane’s words, Reema has lived a long and exciting life but her days of traveling abroad are behind her now. Now, she is quite happy to make short trips to the beach. Suzzane is grateful to Paul for taking them to the beach as it has made both Suzzane and Reema happy.
