Senior Care Facility Residents Recreated Iconic Album Covers

The inhabitants of this assisted living facility were under lockdown since early March with no source of entertainment. Robert Speker thinks that it was his duty to keep the residents distracted during this pandemic. He wanted the senior citizen to spend this time with utmost happiness and to enjoy each and every moment.
Speker thought of many creative ideas to distract his residents. One of which was to call in a performer who sang in the garden as the seniors gazed from windows. He also organized online exercise class conducted by “The Body Coach” Joe Wicks. He even assisted them to celebrate Beer Day.
However the favorite entertainment of Speker was when took 93-year old Sheila before the lockdown to watch and meet artist Rag-n-Bone Man. He posted many pictures from the event on Facebook.
The singer was kind enough to give his senior fan an autographed album. The gift gave rise to Speker with an idea to hire skillful photographer so that they can help the senior citizens to recreate versions of several famous album covers.
As might have been expected, Sheila was the first to be styled, as seen in the photos that Speker shared on Twitter. The residents were able to re-enact other albums including Adele, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Queen.
It was a shock seeing Speker posts going viral on social media. Thousand of likes, comments and shares were flooded. Other tweets from Speker showed more inventions of artists such as of Michael Jackson, Blink 182, Madonna and many more.
In no time, this diverting hobby became a charity fundraiser. The outflow of positive response has resulted Speker to increase consciousness for causes important to the residents he works with and use this pass time as a medium to raise funds.
Discussing with his residents, they decided to give the funds raised to charity. The funds will be divided between dementia friends.org.uk, alzeihmers.org.uk and ageUk.org.uk.
