Cheaper By The Dozen Inspired A Couple To Have Twelve Kids
All their kids have adjacent ages and Courtney feels grateful that her kids loved the movie immensely and always motivated their parents to have just one more kid, which worked in the couple’s favor as they wanted to hit the dozen goal. The couple from New Mexico is unknown to their 12th kid’s gender but they are definite to keep its name with the letter C.
Courtney, along with her kids namely; Clint, eleven, Clay, ten, Cade and Callie, eight, Cash, six, twins Colt and Case, six, Calena, four, Caydie, three, Coralee, two, and Caris, nine-months old, documents their daily life on a twelve-acre plot and shares it on her Instagram page @littlehouseinthehighdesert how she takes care of her kids. They own 140 animals to keep the kids engaged. The exemplary mother never expected that she would have so many kids after she encountered a pregnancy loss when she got married at 24. The couple had their first child when she was 26-year-old and ready to endure motherhood.
Sharing about her plans, Courtney always wanted a big family but is astonishing for her to reach the goal and experience everything according to the plan. Chris wishes that their 12th should be a girl which would make their brood even with girls and boys. Courtney shared that as she had three C-sections, she can no longer have a normal delivery, which makes her nervous at times.
Regarding the health issues, she shared that their youngest girl Chris faced a critical birth and was kept in the care unit for 15 days after her birth. Despite the obstacles, she and Chris made it our healthy and fit. She revealed that being pregnant for so many years, she enjoys the experience and luckily doesn’t face any major sickness or pain. Further, she felt that her body has become habituated with it and she doesn’t require any major help to carry the baby.
According to the couple, parenting has become an easy job for them as their kids mostly take care of themselves and enjoy the vast company. Though they faced some issues and decided to send the older ones to school so that they could focus on the younger lot. Adding to that the family traveled in a 15-seater van and always booked a house as hotels weren’t enough. The family also has expansion plans for their home by Christmas. They look forward to having seven bedrooms, four bathrooms- putting two kids in a room.
Revealing about their social handles, Courtney shared that majorly they were showered with love but they also get some criticism from people who hate big families. They don’t mind being criticized as they are busy welcoming their next and they feel there are people with different opinions. The couple revealed that they decided their next be their 12th and last one as they accomplished being the real life Cheaper by the dozen family.
Excited about the newborn, Courtney also gets sad at times as she would miss being pregnant but she also feels relieved as she would not face any more C-sections and can focus on her family’s happiness and productive growth.
