90-Year-Old Japanese Grandma Is The Oldest Gaming Star

Hamako Mori, born on 18th February 1930 is 90-year-old and still can beat you in online video games. The Japanese grandmother is the oldest gaming YouTuber. She has been playing online video games for 39 years now. She started once she saw her children playing online video games and enjoying them. She wanted to try it once.

But who knew that a little slice of action would end up being her favorite hobby. And it would help her set a record. He has her gaming channel where she is known as ‘Gaming Grandma’ and has more than 150,000 people following her. Her subscribers have to keep with their pace as she aces in Resident Evil 3, Dark Souls 3, and even Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

She was recognized as World’s Oldest Gaming YouTuber by the Guinness World Records. She said: “After living for this long, I feel more than ever that playing games for this long was the right choice. I am truly enjoying my life – it’s rosy.” Though she’s hooked to Play Station 4 at the current moment she has kept all the gaming consoles and software she has acquired over the years. She began her online gaming journey with Cassette Vision.

When she found her love for the online video game she shared: “It looked so much fun, and I thought it’s not fair if only children played it. I thought life would be more fun if I knew how to play it. So I started playing, at first while no one was watching. I treasure them because it brings me memories.”

Her current favorite title is Grand Theft Auto V. she explained the reason for it and said: “It’s like watching a film. I like it the best because it has age restrictions, so children can’t play it!”

She shares three to four videos every month and each video attracts millions of people. According to her, she should share the happiness with everyone. She said: “It’s such a waste if I’m the only one enjoying it.” She loves to share her experiences, joy, and moments with everyone. Thus YouTube is the best platform for it.

She further added “I receive a lot of comments saying don’t work too hard. Everyone is so kind. Their comment leave a strong impression on me, and makes me want to make more videos that people enjoy. I still look forward to everyone’s comments. They also say watching my video gives them hope for the future. I feel so happy. That’s why I want to create lots and lots of videos. That’s my dream.” Well, gaming or not one should follow their heart’s desire to do whatever they want to do in their life.
